Acupuncture@Bodyworks

Woot! Woot! Alert! Alert!

Needles are officially on the menu now at Bodyworks. I have finished a three year BSc in Acupuncture and am just soo excited to be offering this amazing healing therapy – if I can insult a whole incredibly complex system of medicine by calling it a mere therapy.

No folks, this is no little addition to Bodyworks. This is revolution.

My regulars have kinda gotten used to needles as I often have been practicing on them over the last few years, but now I am fully qualified, insured and officially an acupuncturist, so I am changing the way I work with people.

You can still get separate therapies, if that is what you need or strongly prefer. But I am hoping that you, like many of my regulars do, will accept that I have trained in many techniques and that if my professional view is that your issue would be better treated with acupuncture or moxa, that you will be okay with that. I still always do some form of massage in acupuncture treatments.

I have had a few nervous Nellies and even they have been converted to the view that needles are not so awful after all. And indeed can be quite stunningly effective for musculoskeletal problems which I am specializing in.

I work on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at Chien Clinic with an advanced physio and acupuncturist called Tony Brewer who has practiced for thirty years in London and Lincoln. He is known as a specialist for musculoskeletal problems and is passing on his knowledge to me as my mentor.

Back pain, sciatica, frozen shoulder, wry necks all are becoming my bread and butter with a winning combo of needles and sharp elbows…..
